Will Timmons, Director and Secretary of the board
Will entered into financial services in 1987 in London followed with more than 30 years in Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Philippines, Singapore and Greece, working with investors raising capital for internationally based projects through funds and private equity. He has increasingly focused on Socially Responsible Investing, engaging with disruptive technology companies in areas such as renewable energy, waste and recycling, forestry, and the charity sector.
He holds FPC (UK), MAS CFP (Sing) & CII (non-UK) accreditations.
Jørn Jacobsen, CEO and Chairman of the Board
is the founder and CEO of Global Gateways, and is an expert on renewable energies, as well as the financing and risk management of energy projects. He is educated as a systems engineer at the Stavanger School of IT in Norway, and he has excelled as an inventor and businessman. He was the Founder of InCite Digital Media, a member of the TV2 Norway IT Architecture Group, and he invented the open media platform in collaboration with IBM, and is the owner and licensor of sixteen patents. Jørn is also experienced in mergers and acquisitions. He currently commits all of his efforts towards environmental issues such as climate change, which has led to him recently inventing the carbon negative life cycle, with his main areas of expertise in the renewable sector including carbon negative waste to energy, wind and solar.
Michael Galy, Independent Director and Member of the Board
Michael’s experience in European equity capital markets dates back to 1988 trading in the nascent options and futures markets MONEP and MATIF on the floor of the Paris stock exchange before joining Credit Suisse First Boston to establish their presence in Paris under the direction of Hans-Joerg Rudloff who pioneered the issuance of EuroDollar Bonds in Europe. In 1995 Michael joined Salomon Brothers in London to launch their Pan-European Equities platform. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions Salomon Brothers became Schroder Salomon Smith Barney Citi Group. With a franchise of Pan-European institutional investors developed over the course of many years living in Paris, London and Madrid, Michael chose to dedicate himself to private equity in 2008 by joining ENEAS Alternative Investments in Madrid and since 2016 specifically to sustainability investing.
